Citadel - Paints - Ryza Rust
Citadel Technical: Ryza Rust
Add authentic, dry weathering effects to your models with Ryza Rust, a specialized acrylic paint designed by Games Workshop specifically for creating realistic rust finishes. Formulated with a unique, thick, and clay-like texture, this bright orange hue is engineered for drybrushing onto metallic areas to replicate rough, corroded surfaces.
Whether you are distressing industrial pipes, sci-fi vehicles, ancient swords, or battle-damaged power armor, this technical paint makes it simple to achieve a gritty, post-apocalyptic appearance.
Key Benefits & Features
- Specialized Dry Texture: Features a low-moisture, high-density composition that makes it incredibly easy to load onto drybrushes for quick, dry application.
- Vibrant Oxidation Effect: Delivers a bright, realistic orange color that perfectly mimics the look of newly formed or active rust when applied over dark metallics.
- Immediate Battle-Damage: Accents edges, rivets, and textured recesses effortlessly, creating instant depth and age on clean metallic base coats like Leadbelcher.
- Water-Soluble & Safe: Non-toxic, water-based acrylic formulation that allows for easy control and washes out of your hobby drybrushes with warm water and soap.
Why You'll Love It
Replicating the exact texture of corroded metal using standard acrylic paint can be difficult and often ends up looking streaky. Ryza Rust eliminates the guesswork by providing a dense, chalky layer that grips only the raised elements of your model, giving you immediate control to turn pristine metal into weathered, campaign-weary machinery in minutes.
